Six safety facts we checked

What the casino states about its licence, and the protections we could see in our October 2026 test account.

01

Offshore licence, stated

The casino states that it operates under an international (offshore) gaming licence. We do not publish a licence number; check the seal in the footer instead.

02

Not registered in Ontario

The operator is not registered with iGaming Ontario, so Ontario residents cannot open an account. This review is written for the other provinces and territories.

03

No provincial regulator

No provincial lottery corporation oversees this brand. Complaints follow the casino’s own process and then the ADR procedure named in its terms.

04

TLS and two-factor login

Every page we loaded ran over HTTPS, and the account settings offer optional two-factor authentication with an authenticator app.

05

KYC before cash-out

Photo ID, proof of address dated within 3 months and, when asked, proof of the payment method. Review usually takes 24–48 hours.

06

Limits and time-outs

Deposit, loss and session limits, a cool-off from 24 hours to 6 weeks and self-exclusion of 6 months or more sit in the Responsible Gaming section.

Check the seal, then decide

An offshore licence is a different level of oversight from a provincial one. Verify the seal, read the terms and set your limits before the first deposit.

What the casino says about its licence

SpinLoots presents itself as an online casino operating under an international (offshore) gaming licence. That is the claim on the site, and it is the claim we report. We have not published a licence number on this page, and we will not: a number copied into a review can go stale, and it can be wrong. The only version that matters is the one the regulator itself shows when you click the seal in the casino’s footer.

An offshore licence is common for casinos that serve several countries at once. It means a gaming authority outside Canada has granted permission to operate, sets its own rules on player funds, fairness and complaints, and can in principle sanction the operator. What it does not mean is that a Canadian body supervises the site. That distinction runs through everything below.

Ontario is the clear exception

Ontario is the clear exception

Ontario is the one province with its own open, regulated iGaming market. Private casinos that want Ontario players must register with iGaming Ontario. SpinLoots is not registered there, so Ontario residents cannot open an account, and Ontario IP addresses are blocked at sign-up and login. Our review, our ratings and our test account all concern players in the other provinces and territories.

If you live in Ontario, do not try to work around the block with a VPN. VPNs are not allowed under the terms, and accounts found using one can be closed, with winnings at risk. Our troubleshooting guide explains what the block looks like on screen.

Offshore versus provincial oversight

Outside Ontario, legal online gambling in most provinces is run by provincial lottery corporations. The casino reviewed here is not regulated by any of them. In practice the differences show up in three places:

  • Complaints. There is no provincial ombudsman to call. Disputes go to live chat, then to the complaints team by email, then to the licensing authority’s alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedure named in the terms.
  • Rules on bonuses and limits. The offshore regulator’s rules apply, not a provincial code. Read the Bonus Terms yourself; our plain-English terms page covers the key clauses.
  • Enforcement. A provincial regulator sits in your jurisdiction. An offshore one does not, which makes escalation slower.

None of this makes the site unsafe by default. It means you carry more of the checking yourself.

How to verify the licence seal in five minutes

How to verify the licence seal in five minutes
  1. Scroll to the footer of the casino and find the licence seal or logo.
  2. Click it. It should open a validation page on the regulator’s own domain, not an image or a page hosted by the casino.
  3. Check that the validation page shows the same domain you are playing on.
  4. Open the General Terms and find the “About” clause. The company name there should match the company on the validation page.
  5. Note the status. “Active” or “valid” is what you want; anything else is a reason to stop and ask live chat.

If the seal does not click through, or the names do not match, treat that as a warning sign and take it into account before you deposit. We repeat this check whenever we update the review.

Account security we observed

Every page of the casino loaded over TLS/HTTPS during our October 2026 tests, including the cashier. In the account settings you can switch on two-factor authentication using an authenticator app; once it is on, each login asks for a six-digit code after your password. We recommend it, especially if you keep a balance or use crypto.

The login itself has a sensible brake: five wrong passwords lock the account for 30 minutes. Our login guide walks through 2FA set-up and password resets step by step.

KYC: what you will be asked for

Before your first withdrawal the casino runs a know-your-customer check. Expect to upload:

  • a photo ID (passport, driver’s licence or provincial ID card);
  • a proof of address dated within the last 3 months, such as a utility bill or bank statement;
  • proof of your payment method when asked, for example a screenshot of your crypto wallet or a masked card photo.

Documents were usually reviewed within 24–48 hours in our test. Uploading them right after sign-up, rather than at cash-out time, saves a day or two on your first payout.

Game fairness: what we can and cannot say

Games at SpinLoots run from the studios’ own servers, so results are generated by the game provider rather than by the casino. Each game’s info panel shows its RTP, and we checked that this panel was present on the slots we opened. We do not claim any independent audit certificate for the casino, because we have not seen one we could verify. If a certificate appears in the footer later, apply the same test as for the licence seal: it should open on the auditor’s own site and name the same domain.

Responsible gambling tools

The Responsible Gaming section of the account holds deposit, loss and session limits, a cool-off from 24 hours to 6 weeks and self-exclusion of 6 months or more. Lowering a limit applies at once; raising one normally waits for a cooling period. The casino is 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). If play stops feeling like entertainment, the Responsible Gambling Council and, in Quebec, Jeu : aide et référence offer free, confidential help; links sit in our footer.

Our view on licensing and safety

We score Licensing and safety at 8.0 / 10, the lowest of the five sub-scores in our in-depth review. The security tools are solid: HTTPS throughout, optional 2FA, a clear KYC flow and a full set of limits. The score is held back by the offshore licence instead of a Canadian provincial regulator and by the Ontario exclusion. For players elsewhere in Canada, SpinLoots is a reasonable choice if you verify the seal yourself and keep deposits to what you can afford to lose.

FAQ

Questions readers ask

Is the casino licensed?

The casino states that it operates under an international, offshore gaming licence. We do not print a licence number because the only reliable source is the regulator’s own validation page. Click the seal in the casino footer, check that it opens on the regulator’s domain, that the domain listed matches the site you are using, and that the company name matches the About clause in the General Terms dated 1 October 2026.

Can I play from Ontario?

No. The operator is not registered with iGaming Ontario, so Ontario residents cannot open an account and Ontario IP addresses are blocked. Using a VPN to get around the block breaks the terms and can lead to the account being closed. This review is written for players in the other provinces and territories, where the casino accepts sign-ups from players aged 19+, or 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.

Who do I complain to if something goes wrong?

Start with the 24/7 live chat, which answered in under 2 minutes in our five October 2026 tests. If that does not settle it, email the complaints team through the Help Centre form and keep the reference. If you are still unhappy, the General Terms name the licensing authority’s alternative dispute resolution procedure. No Canadian provincial regulator handles complaints about this offshore-licensed site.

Is two-factor authentication available?

Yes. In the account settings you can turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app. After that, every login asks for a six-digit code on top of your email and password. It is optional, but we recommend it, particularly if you keep a balance or deposit with crypto. Five wrong passwords in a row lock the account for 30 minutes whether or not 2FA is on.

Does SpinLoots have its games audited?

We have not seen an independent audit certificate for the casino that we could verify, so we do not claim one. The games run from the studios’ own servers, and each game’s info panel shows its RTP. If a certificate appears in the footer, check it the same way as the licence seal: it should open on the testing lab’s own website and show the same domain you are playing on.
